The miracle tree Moringa
NuTree, a project of the student initiative Enactus Münster e.V., has set itself the goal of establishing a farm in Ghana that will expand the food supply in the region and provide people with a sustainable source of income. This will not only counteract malnutrition to some extent, but also improve the local economic situation. The Moringa Oleífera tree plays an important role in this. The tree is characterised by its rapid growth, ease of cultivation and richness in nutrients. In addition to important amino acids, proteins and trace elements, Moringa contains a high concentration of vitamins and minerals. The oil extracted from the seeds and especially the leaves are used in powder form. The powder can be mixed into all kinds of dishes and ensures a balanced diet. Our former employee Jan Thoma is involved in this project on a voluntary basis alongside his studies. Together with fellow students, he is helping to set up a farm for the Moringa Oleífera tree in Ghana. We are pleased to support the project financially.
We create added value and talk about it
Generating added value, both for the employees in our own company and for society - that's what corporate volunteering is all about.Sustainability is one of our corporate goals. We have been committed to environmental protection and sustainability for several years now. But that's not enough for us - we want to do even more. As part of a corporate volunteering project at the Engelberg-Titlis destination, our Managing Director Marco Dröge helped to repair a forest path: "Get out of the office and into nature. We were able to experience and realise this ourselves on site and make our own contribution. It was a wonderful experience for all of us".
A Cologne institution
Despite the coronavirus crisis, the management of face to face GmbH felt that this wonderful tradition should be maintained, albeit in a slightly different way: together with all employees, it was decided that this year the Weckmänner would not be sent to our customers, but donated to homeless people in Cologne city centre.Together with the volunteers from Helping Hands Cologne e.V., we were able to take part in one of the weekly cold and supply rounds. In compliance with hygiene and social distancing rules, fresh meals, hot drinks, fresh clothes, toiletries, blankets and sleeping bags are distributed - and last Friday, we were also able to bring a smile to some people's faces with our wake-up buns.
